1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand and acknowledge that participation in acrobatics, dance, strength, mobility, and stretch-based activities involves physical exertion and carries inherent risks of injury. These risks include, but are not limited to, slips, falls, sprains, strains, overexertion, collisions, and other unforeseen accidents. I voluntarily choose to participate (or allow my child to participate) and assume all such risks, whether known or unknown.
2. RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration of participation in any activity organized or operated by Sky Entertainment / Sky Classes, I hereby release and hold harmless the company, its owners, instructors, assistants, staff, contractors, and associated venues from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liability for injuries, losses, or damages that may arise out of participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
3. FITNESS TO PARTICIPATE
I confirm that the participant is in good physical health and has no medical condition, injury, or limitation that would prevent safe involvement in any Sky Entertainment / Sky Classes activity. I agree to notify instructors immediately of any medical issue or discomfort.
4. BEHAVIOR AND SAFETY POLICY
I understand that participants are expected to follow all safety instructions and behave respectfully toward others. Unsafe or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the class or event without refund.
5. EMERGENCY CARE CONSENT
I authorize Sky Entertainment / Sky Classes staff to provide basic first aid or to contact emergency medical services if necessary. I understand that I am financially responsible for any resulting treatment or medical costs.
6. PERSONAL PROPERTY
I understand that Sky Entertainment / Sky Classes is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought to classes, rehearsals, or events.
7. PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE
I acknowledge that photos and/or videos may be taken during classes, workshops, or events for documentation, safety, and promotional purposes (including social media, websites, and marketing materials).If I do not consent to the use of my or my child’s image, I will notify Sky Entertainment / Sky Classes in writing at info@skyevent.ca before or immediately after participation.
8. INDEMNIFICATION
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sky Entertainment / Sky Classes, its instructors, contractors, and venues from any and all claims, damages, or legal expenses that may result from participation in these programs.
9. GOVERNING LAW
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
10. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
I have carefully read and fully understand this waiver. I acknowledge that by signing it, I am voluntarily giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue Sky Entertainment / Sky Classes for any injury or damages resulting from participation.
